9 Months

Kayla is now 9 months old, she is 27" tall and weighs 18lbs. She is becoming a toddler fast. She has four teeth now. She is still happy most of the time, but sure is getting a dramatic personality. My little girl is becoming a little lady. She loves to say "dada", but still no "mama", maybe one day.

She loves to stand and walk around hold on to your fingers and pulls herself up on furniture. Oh, and she just learned how to chew, which has opened a whole new world of food.

8 months old

Kayla turned 8 months old today. I can not believe it. She is becoming my little girl. She weighs around 17lbs. She still wears 3-6 month cloths, I like that she is not growing up too fast. She finally has a tooth, she has been teething for a couple of weeks now.

She can pretty much crawl now. She gets up on all fours and actually crawls, no army crawl for her. She loves bath time too. She loves to splash and make noise. She also makes noise like "dadadada". I know she is not saying "Da Da", but it is one step closer to talking. I have been working with her on baby sign language, she is actually starting to understand some of them.

This is my brother Mark and his little boy Alex. He is 5 months old and is almost the same size. They like playing together.

Working again

OK so, one week off and I already have another job. Amazing I know and I was not even looking. I work 2 days a week, so I still have plenty of time with Kayla, and we needed the extra money. So hopefully I will not have to work too long, but I must say it is nice not having to be so tight in the wallet.

This picture was from my birthday, look how intensely Kayla is looking at the cupcakes, she wants food so bad.

Stay at home Mom!!!

Well, I am now officially a stay at home mom. Yesterday I got laid off from my job. I was kinda expecting it, but still it's a shock to actually know you have been "let go". I am so happy to stay home with Kayla full time now. Things will be tight, but i know it will all work out. I can take more picture and not miss out on anything. Here are some pictures from last weekend.

Kayla is finally sitting on one her own and is close to crawling. she eats baby food, loves peas hates green beans, and she is teething. She has not been too fussy. So hopefully soon I will be able to see a tooth break through.

Eating Solids

So I finally started Kayla on baby food/ pizza. Byron wanted her to have pizza as her first food, so I figured why not...
Just kidding. We had a few problems at first, she loves her bottle. But now she loves her rice cereal, you can't get it in her mouth fast enough. What can I say, she is her father's daughter.

Pool Time

Sorry, it's been a while, here is the update. Kayla is 6 1/2 months now, 15lbs and 25 1/2 inches long. She is still such a happy baby.
Kayla loves to go to the pool, I take her about 3 times a week to try and get out of the 100 degree weather. She splashes kicks, she's going to be my little fish.

4th of July

Kayla's First 4th of July. It was on the 4th of July last year that I found out I was pregnant. I can not believe it has already been a year. Time sure does fly. I bought her this shirt last year hoping that if I had a girls she could wear it this year. I was right and she is "Daddy's little Sparkler".
We went out to Decatur and watched the fire works from the pool. It was beautiful. I really thought Kayla would react more. She only jumped once from the noise She just sat on mu lap and watched all the fireworks. Happy 4th to everyone.

4 Months Old

Kayla is now 4 months old. She is so close to rolling over, she rolls from side to side, but has not actually rolled over yet. She laughs now too, an actual laugh, it's adorable. She also pushed her self around on the ground with her legs. No more just laying her down and you know she will stay there. Only the begging, I know, soon she will be running around, screaming NO!!!!
But for now she is so cute, I'm enjoying it while it last.

3 Year Anniversary

Byron and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary on May 28. I can not believe it has been 3 years already. We had a great dinner at Byron's favorite restaurant, Shogun. And we had a picnic on our living room floor, with Kayla(as shown in photo). She sleep most of the time(she is so good). And Byron got me a photo printer so I can finally print out pictures of Kayla. It was a great anniversary and I am looking forward for the many more anniversaries to come.

Kayla is now 3 months old. She weighs 10lbs and is 23 inch. long. She eats like a pig (well like her daddy), or as Byron would say "she has a healthy appetite". Either way she is no longer a newborn. it's sad, but it is so cute to watch her laugh and smile at us. She is just growing up so fast.
Kayla is chillin' with Daddy. She looks so comfortable. I wish I could sleep that well.

My First Mother's Day

I had the best mother's day. Byron was so good to me all weekend. He helped with the baby and made sure I got plenty of sleep. He took me to the botanic garden's in Ft. Worth. They were beautiful, and he did not complain once. He was so sweet.
Kayla was so good the whole day. She slept in her Sling while we were at the garden's. What a Great baby!!!
Byron even made me my favorite meal, Steak and Shrimp. He is the best husband!!!!

He is even letting me pick out a ring, so I can always remember my first mother's day.

Hope all the women had a wonderful mother's day. We deserve it!

For Mother's Day Kayla had a night out on the town with grandma. She came back looking like this.

Just for Giggles and Laughs

Kayla is growing like a weed. She is 11 weeks old today. She is starting to giggle and smiles at things, mostly lights. She will stare at people and focus on toys.
Now that she is almost thee months she is starting to fit into 0-3 month cloths. I am so excited because I have this closet full of cloths that she could not fit into. I love dressing her up, she looks so cute in everything. Here is a video of her laughing and making noises. It's amazing how we get so excited over the little things.

First Smile

In the past week Kayla has started to smile to the sound of my voice and follow me around the room with her eyes. She is growing so fast. This morning I finally got some pictures of her smiling (I have been trying for a while). This is my favorite picture. She is getting such a personality.

2 months old

Kayla went in for her two months check up today. She is 8lbs 13oz. and 22 inch. long. Which puts her in the 50% for weight and 90% for length. The doctor gave her a good bill of health and sent us on our way, but not before giving her two shots. I have never heard Kayla cry so loud. She was not happy. Poor thing, but it's for the best and she is doing better now. She is growing up so fast. She is starting to smile and recognize voices. It is so cute watching her get older. She is starting to get her own personality.

Baby Blessing

Kayla was blessed in Decatur on April 13, 2008. Here is a picture of most of the people that attended the blessing. Here is a picture of Kayla in her blessing dress and a picture of my family who came up for the blessing.

Easter

Here is Kayla about 5 weeks old in her Easter dress. She was 6lbs 1oz. at birth she now eights about 8lbs. She is getting bigger slowly but surely. She still sleeps a lot and wears new born cloths. I love every minute that she is small, I know before I know it she will be running around the house and talking back to me.

2 weeks old

This is Kayla when she was about two weeks old. She is already a Drama Queen.

Update

As of 7 weeks ago, we went from a family of two to a family of three. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Valentine's day. What a great present and I did not think I was going to get anything for Valentines. Kayla Nichole Price came as a big surprise being 4 1/2 weeks early. She was in the NICU for 8 days, but is now a healthy baby. It has been so nice having her home, and I love being a mom. She has been such a blessing to our lives, she is such a good baby.

We found out I was pregnant on the 4th of July and come to find out she was due on St. Patrick's Day, I thought what holiday baby, then being born on Valentine's day just completed the package. She is truly a holiday baby.
