Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. Kayla is still too young to know what is going on, but I like that she does not ask for everything under the sun. I finally got some good pics of the kids on Christmas Eve. I tried a couple of days ago and this was the best picture I got of the two them.

Kayla loved all her toys and opened Curtis' presents and hand them to him and they immediately went in his mouth. I can always get good smiles out of Curtis.

Then here comes the typical "he's touching me" Curtis loved the feel of her dress.

What a good big sister, sorry about her hair she would not let me touch her hair.

5 Months

Curtis is already 5 months old. This is what he has been up to:

  • weighs around 18lbs
  • wears 6-9 month cloths
  • Eats three meals of baby food a day
  • sits up on his own
  • sleeps 9 hours at night
  • takes only one nap a day
  • spits-up 24/7
  • and loves anything Kayla does

He makes lots of weird faces but is always quick to smile.

He is going to be running around with Kayla before I know it. I feel blessed to have such a happy "little" boy.

Cousins

We recently went to visit my sister and her family. She has a two month old little girl, which is almost exactly two months younger than Curtis. You would never guess that by their size, Curtis is on the big side and Lily is on the small side.

Happy Cousins

My sister and I holding our two kids.

Then I went to Allen and my brother's wife Flor and I took our kids to the Park. They have a little boy, Alex that is two months younger than Kayla. They had a blast running around together.

The ZOO

We went to the Zoo with the Erekson's. It was great. Kayla got to see the animals, and Curtis just looked around the whole time and was so content.
We got to see the white tigers, (mommy's favorite)

and we saw the elephant (Kayla's favorite)

Thank goodness for a double stroller.

Jacob and Kayla liked the Penguins

What a fun Family day. I love being a stay at home mom, so I can take my Kids to stuff like this. I feel so blessed!

Turkey Shoot

We had our church Turkey Shoot a couple of weeks ago. It was lots of Fun...
I got to shoot... Byron wore his candy vest...

Kayla wore ear plugs...

And Curtis slept until the very end, when he woke up very happy.

Halloween

Sorry this post is so late, but here are some Halloween pictures. Byron and I dressed up as football players, Kayla was a cheerleader and Curtis was the football.
Kayla loved the whole concept of trick or treating. She got really good at at saying "trick or treat" the expect candy to be put in her bucket. for the next couple of days she would bring her bucket up and say "trick or treat " then wanting me to give her candy. She loved her lolly pop and was on a major sugar high that night.

She loved the hula hoop contest.

Pumpkin Patch

Not a lot to say, just lots of pictures, Enjoy!!

I had to sing a song just to get them to sit still for the picture.

Kayla was so excited to see Mickey and Minnie. She would get mad when other kids would get close.
CHEESE!!!

Kayla and Jacob in the wagon.

Curtis just sat in his stroller the whole time.

What a fun day!!!

NICU Reunion

We went to the Baylor Hospital NICU Reunion. They had it out in Grapevine by the lake. I had no idea they had camping grounds and a lake so close. We had fun, but it was raining off and on that day. Seeing all the other kids there that had been in the NICU, it really made me appreciate that Kayla was only in there for a short time and that she has no long term effects. It really makes me appreciate that Curtis did not have to be in the NICU. I am very blessed to have two healthy and happy kids.
I put Kayla and Curtis in Overalls and took pictures of them. So Cute. It's hard getting pictures of them together since Curtis cannot sit up yet.

Another Wedding Reception

Last weekend my sister had her wedding reception in Allen TX. So we ventured to Allen to help set up and to visit with family.

Love this picture, read his shirt. So True!!
The three toddlers. Kayla on the left, Alex my brother's son in the middle and Lily my cousin's daughter on the right. I think this was the only time all three were sitting down. Alex and Lily are days apart and Kayla is two months older. The beautiful family picture.
I just thought this was a cute picture, Curtis is getting such a cute personality.

Kayla loves the camera, if she finds it she will bring it to me and smile for the picture then want to look at it. She loves to take pictures of the baby too. I just love being a mom for two great kids.
