One Month Old

Curtis is one month old, weighing 9lbs 6oz. He is a pig, he would eat 24/7 if I let him. That is probably normal for most babies, especially boys, but it is a big change from Kayla. He has been a great blessing to our family.
Here are some pictures I took of Kayla and Curtis this morning. Kayla likes to sing him songs while holding his hand. When he starts crying a lot she runs up to him and puts her arms out to hold him.

What a good big sister.

I only had to tell her once...

Poor Kayla our house is a danger zone. The other night she was running around playing and she tripped and feel right into the edge of our coffee table. It sounded bad and she had one of those cries that was silent for a good 10 sec. Daddy got her to settle down enough and we checked out the damage. It's hard to see in the picture, but she had a scrap across her eye lid and then a scratch on her nose. We were scared she broke her nose, and we felt lucky it did not get her right in the eye. 5 min. later she was running around playing again. We pushed on her nose that night and the next morning and she just laughed. This is here eye two days later. It just looked like she was wearing eye shadow. Byron and I were shocked that it never looked bad. We thought for sure she would have a bad black eye.

Two Weeks Old

Time flies when you have no sleep. Ok not really, I can't complain. He does not usually keep me up all night and they both usually take naps at the same time, so I don't have much room to complain.

I can tell Kayla gets more jealous as time goes on. When she sees me taking pictures, she will pose for a picture and then wants to look at herself. Then she will do something she knows is wrong just to get us to chase her and play with her. She is still a great big sister and is very protective over him.
This is Kayla posing for a picture.

I thought this picture was funny. He just wanted to sleep all stretched out.

How did I get so lucky twice

Not the best picture, he is about to cry and Byron says he looks like an old man. He likes to be cuddled not put down to take pictures. Curtis or "little t" as we call him, has been such a blessing. So far he is a low maintenance baby, and he is healthy. He is a pig, he has already started gaining weight. He is defiantly built like his daddy.
He has huge feet, the newborn socks don't really fit him.
Kayla has been a great big sister. When he cries she just points and says "baby". When she sees his pacifier, socks, blanket, etc... she brings them to the baby. She also likes to give him kisses. She is so sweet with him. I don't think the real jealousy has kicked in, but so far she has been great.

I feel so blessed to have such great kids and have had easy recoveries. I love being a mom.

He is Here...

Curtis Michael Price
8 lbs 3oz 20 in
Since the doctor gave me the go ahead, and after over an hour of 3 min. apart contractions, it was time to head to the hospital. We got there at about 9:30pm and I was already dilated to a four. The doctor came in at about 10:30 and broke my water. By 12:15am the my epidural finally kicked in, and I was dilated to a six. At 1:00am they checked me and I was fully dilated. I could not believe it was that fast. A couple pushes later and he was born at 1:44 am. I could not believe how big he was. The doctor said it was good that he came when he did, or else he might have been too big to come out. He has tons of bruises from coming out so fast and they were afraid he broke his collar bone because he did not really want to move his right arm and it was bruised pretty bad. The doctor saw him and they verified that he just bruised it, nothing broken. He is doing good and I am recovering well. I am hoping for both of us to go home tomorrow. I will upload more pictures when I have a chance, but who know when that will be.
