9 Months

Kayla is now 9 months old, she is 27" tall and weighs 18lbs. She is becoming a toddler fast. She has four teeth now. She is still happy most of the time, but sure is getting a dramatic personality. My little girl is becoming a little lady. She loves to say "dada", but still no "mama", maybe one day.

She loves to stand and walk around hold on to your fingers and pulls herself up on furniture. Oh, and she just learned how to chew, which has opened a whole new world of food.

myself.
Kayla mastered the art of Trick or Treating.

8 months old

Kayla turned 8 months old today. I can not believe it. She is becoming my little girl. She weighs around 17lbs. She still wears 3-6 month cloths, I like that she is not growing up too fast. She finally has a tooth, she has been teething for a couple of weeks now.

She can pretty much crawl now. She gets up on all fours and actually crawls, no army crawl for her. She loves bath time too. She loves to splash and make noise. She also makes noise like "dadadada". I know she is not saying "Da Da", but it is one step closer to talking. I have been working with her on baby sign language, she is actually starting to understand some of them.

This is my brother Mark and his little boy Alex. He is 5 months old and is almost the same size. They like playing together.

Working again

OK so, one week off and I already have another job. Amazing I know and I was not even looking. I work 2 days a week, so I still have plenty of time with Kayla, and we needed the extra money. So hopefully I will not have to work too long, but I must say it is nice not having to be so tight in the wallet.

This picture was from my birthday, look how intensely Kayla is looking at the cupcakes, she wants food so bad.

Stay at home Mom!!!

Well, I am now officially a stay at home mom. Yesterday I got laid off from my job. I was kinda expecting it, but still it's a shock to actually know you have been "let go". I am so happy to stay home with Kayla full time now. Things will be tight, but i know it will all work out. I can take more picture and not miss out on anything. Here are some pictures from last weekend.

Kayla is finally sitting on one her own and is close to crawling. she eats baby food, loves peas hates green beans, and she is teething. She has not been too fussy. So hopefully soon I will be able to see a tooth break through.

Eating Solids

So I finally started Kayla on baby food/ pizza. Byron wanted her to have pizza as her first food, so I figured why not...
Just kidding. We had a few problems at first, she loves her bottle. But now she loves her rice cereal, you can't get it in her mouth fast enough. What can I say, she is her father's daughter.

Pool Time

Sorry, it's been a while, here is the update. Kayla is 6 1/2 months now, 15lbs and 25 1/2 inches long. She is still such a happy baby.
Kayla loves to go to the pool, I take her about 3 times a week to try and get out of the 100 degree weather. She splashes kicks, she's going to be my little fish.
